He's always with us

I was reading a piece of something a lady named Cheryl Carter wrote this morning. Something she said struck me -

"The neat thing about God is that He is not like us. We tell our children to clean their rooms and, by golly, they better clean their rooms ....... God tells us to clean up our act, then offers to come in and help us."

I don't know about you but there are things that I would really like my children to do on their own. I have enough of my own work to do.  ~Right?~

Well...... I can't imagine what my life would be like if God had that attitude toward me.

I haven't' posted lately because my camera is broke. Each day I think of something I would like to share with everyone but would not be complete without a picture. So I am waiting to get my camera fixed.
This weekend as you can imagine Bill is hosting a Super Bowl party for his family and friends. I wanted to share with you what foods I will be preparing so check back.

Billy's First Steps

Billy took two steps last night.

He was sitting on a stool about a foot and a half in front of me and he stood up strait put one foot in front of the other took two steps toward me then grabbed hold of my knees.
Yea Billy!

Would it not be exciting to go on a journey around the world for and entire year. Live in an array of  countries, experience cultures, meet new people, eat delicious food, find peace within yourself, and a greater connection with God.

I have been reading  Eat, pray, love by Elizabeth Gilbert. This is a much talked about book, best seller for many weeks. In the book Elizabeth in on a self proclaimed "I" search  across Italy, India, and Indonesia. In Italy she is in pursuit of pleasure, in India - devotion and lastly, Indonesia - balance. She spends 4 months in each country.

So after hearing the title for the 20th time and  seeing it on Oprah, I decided I need to find out what all the hype was about. I looked for it at all the Libraries in our area - no copies available - 30 day wait at least. ~Ok~ I looked at Walmart while I was there one day - again no copies. My grocery store - no copies. Now this was weird. I finally found a copy weeks later and began to read it. I finished it last night and I have to say I usually wouldn't read a book like this because it was about a woman whom I have nothing in common with and a women who's beliefs do not match my own . However I enjoyed the book greatly and would recommend it to any women longing for a spiritual journey or just a good read.
